Journeys of our Exceptional Evodians in their own words
Abdus Samad Siddiqui
Director Commercial
Mr Siddiqui’s journey has been an inspiration for many. He has a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and an MBA from the prestigious IoBM, Karachi. He represents the quintessential PharmEvo values in his leadership style and has achieved major milestones for the company with his holistic approach to ethical, cause-based marketing.
Question: What values did you learn from your parents?
Answer: Nothing is more valuable than character and strong values.
My mother was equally influential—a woman of deep faith who instilled in us strong moral and religious principles. I take immense pride in my parents and my humble background, which continues to guide me every day.
Question: Why did you choose a Pharmacy degree?
Answer: I chose not to pursue a medical degree, as my interests lay elsewhere. My father guided me toward pharmacy, drawing from his experience at GSK, where he observed that pharmacists had strong growth potential and promising career progression.
In that sense, I am a pharmacist both by profession and by choice.
Question: How did your professional career begin?
Answer: After the passing of my father in 2000, I began my professional journey with a contractual role in a trust. Upon completing my pharmacy degree, I joined GSK as a Sales Representative, marking the beginning of my corporate career.
Question: When did you join PharmEvo?
Answer: I joined PharmEvo in 2006, inspired by the clarity and strength of its leadership vision. At that time, the company’s target was Rs. 250 million; today, it has grown to Rs. 25 billion. What truly stands out is the culture of commitment and trust that defines the organization.
Question: Any memorable moments from your career?
Answer: There have been many—too many to single out. Each phase of the journey has brought valuable experiences and lessons.
Question: How do you handle difficult decisions?
Answer: By fostering a culture of accountability, we have created an environment where performance is recognized and excellence is encouraged. Today, this clarity has built a disciplined, committed, and high-performing team—one that ensures the organization continues to thrive beyond any individual.
Question: What do you do in your personal life (weekends)?
Answer: Despite a busy schedule, I have a passion for vintage and classic cars and bikes. I have classical 1981 Toyota Corolla Hardtop Coupe, one of only four in Pakistan i guess. Family remains a priority—we value spending quality time together, especially over meals.
Question: What are some of your key contributions at PharmEvo?
Answer: I am humbled… “Evodian” as name is my brain child, brand taglines such as Kalsob’s “Rightly Absorbs” and Gouric’s “Reduces the Excess.”
One of my major contributions was reshaping the company’s corporate visual identity during my tenure in Corporate Marketing and Discovering Diabetes is very close to my heart.
Question: What defines a great marketer?
Answer: There is often a gap in strategic thinking within the industry. Many focus on performance but lack depth. A strong marketer understands that sales are the outcome of well-designed processes—not just individual effort.
Capacity building, team development, and strategic thinking are essential for sustainable success. Organizations like PharmEvo serve as institutions that shape both professional competence and character.
Question: What characteristics should every Evodian possess?
Answer: PharmEvo’s core values—ITREE (Integrity, Trust, Respect, Ethics, Excellence)—are fundamentally human values. They shape not only better professionals but also better individuals.
Success should not be measured by money alone. What is meant for you will come at the right time—this belief brings balance and purpose to life.
Question: What philosophy guides your life?
Answer: Clarity in the present brings peace about both the past and the future. Faith, gratitude, and integrity are the guiding principles of my life.
Question: What’s one thing you unlearned recently?
Answer: Overthinking.
Question: If you had to give a TED Talk with zero preparation, what would it be about?
Answer: Selflessness
Question: What lifts your mood instantly?
Answer: Spending time with my family and engaging in meaningful conversations.
Question: Reader, traveller, or quiet observer?
Answer: A quiet observer.
Question: What is your favourite book?
Answer: Atomic Habits
Question: Who is your favourite poet? Share a verse.
Answer: Allama Iqbal
“Tu bacha bacha ke na rakh ise, tera aaina hai woh aaina,
Ke shikasta ho to aziz tar hai nigah-e-aaina saaz mein.”

Evodian Got Talent
From office to Badminton Court 🏸
I used to play badminton back in 2005–06, but due to my young age and many responsibilities, I couldn’t continue. After a long gap, I started again, and now I can say badminton has become my fitness passion. I play at least 5–6 days a week at the KMC badminton court on a regular basis. The court where I play was not in good condition, especially in terms of cleanliness, court lines, and the net, which were in the worst state. I held a meeting with all the players and suggested refurbishing the entire court. I also proposed that I lead the initiative to restore it to a better condition. We started contributing on a monthly basis, as the KMC authorities did not support us despite multiple requests. Now, we are playing there and enjoying it a lot. As the leader of the evening shift players, I have also started conducting internal tournaments under the name “KMC Smash Masters Tournament.” I recently won the Season 03 men’s doubles final as well. We also invited some celebrities. In the first season, we invited the “Flying Horse” 🐎 and former captain of the Pakistan national hockey team, Sami Ullah Khan. This passion will continue, and I will strive to do my best in both my personal and professional career. I would also suggest all colleagues take up badminton for fitness and enjoyment.
Muhammad Ahsan Naseer: 1st Prize Winner – Pecha Kucha Competition at CPSP International Medical Education Conference 2026
We are proud to share that Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Naseer secured 1st Prize in the 1st Ever Pecha Kucha Competition held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan International Medical Education Conference 2026. The competition featured participants from across Pakistan, making this achievement even more significant.
Way to go, Ahsan. This is a remarkable milestone!
In his own words:
Pecha Kucha is not just a presentation style; it is a discipline of clarity, precision, and impactful storytelling. Competing at a national platform among distinguished medical educators and professionals was both challenging and inspiring. Representing innovation in medical education through a structured 20×20 format required not only mastery of content but also control of timing, confidence, and audience engagement.
Winning first position reflects my passion for transforming how we teach, learn, and communicate in healthcare. My journey in medical education, artificial intelligence, and academic innovation has always been driven by one purpose: to make learning more meaningful and engaging.
This victory is not just an award; it is a stepping stone toward empowering healthcare professionals to embrace innovation and AI-driven learning across Pakistan.
Kashaf Khaleel Yousfani

This remarkable achievement reflects Kashaf’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to continuous learning while successfully balancing her professional responsibilities alongside her academic journey.
Way to go, Kashaf! We couldn’t be prouder.
Learn about Kashaf’s journey in her own words:
Balancing work and academics wasn’t always easy, but once I began studying subjects aligned with my passion, everything started to feel lighter. This Merit Certificate from IoBM reflects the power of consistency, self-belief, and taking ownership of one’s growth—values that are continuously encouraged at PharmEvo.
I am grateful for the journey, the learning culture, and all the lessons along the way.
