My name is Sehrish Nasir Ansari. Those who know me well often describe me as someone born with a golden spoon. I am the only daughter of my parents. My father owns a textile company in Karachi, and my mother is a homemaker. I completed my Masters in English Literature and Linguistics.

I had a very exciting and eventful childhood. Growing up, I attended well-known educational institutions and enjoyed life’s privileges such as traveling, shopping, and dining out. My parents always supported me in all my life decisions. They have been and will always be my role models. I never sought attention from outside the home because I was always the apple of my family’s eye.

From the beginning, I had others, especially my mother, taking care of my tasks. She was like a fairy to me, managing everything. Despite being dependent on others, I admired the idea of being independent. After completing my academics, the next phase of life, like for many other girls, was marriage. I got married to a decent man in a decent family. I always feared responsibilities, especially in a joint family.

Over time, I learned a lot, and everything went smoothly. I was blessed with a baby girl, ‘Syeda Zara Hussain.’ With the support of my husband and in-laws, especially my mother-in-law, I managed everything. After a few months, I joined my father’s textile company, starting my career in Business Development for exports and gradually moving towards managing the company’s operations.

Today, I proudly manage my household while overseeing our business. The girl that I used to be has now evolved tremendously. In conclusion, I would like to say that when a girl believes in her strength and abilities, she can conquer the skies. Having a supportive family and friends is indeed an added positive factor.
